The Brand Called Michelle Volz

As the Director of Client Services, Michelle Volz has a hand in several key areas of Peter Montoya, Inc: managing the Coaching Department, managing the One Year Marketing Plan Weekend program, and managing Client relationship issues with respect to our Creative Services Department.

Michelle's professional background ranges from marketing, advertising and sales, to psychology and executive coaching, including owning and operating her own consulting firm, Motivex Inc.

A native Southern Californian, Michelle Volz holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from California State University, Long Beach and a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. Michelle has received additional training through the Master Personal and Executive Coaching certification program at the College of Executive Coaching.

When she's not working and traveling for business, Michelle enjoys cycling, kayaking, working on fixer-upper properties, a little yoga every now and then, family time, and being near the ocean whenever possible.

Cathy is the Sr. Business Development Coach at Peter Montoya. In addition to coaching clients, Cathy participates in the two day marketing seminar that shows entrepreneurs how to grow their business and also serves as Peter Montoya's community development manager following up with previous clients to promote a greater sense of community.

Cathy is truly passionate about coaching. Her expertise is in "Brandstorming" - finding creative ways to help clients express the message they want to convey to their target market. "I am 100% committed to my client's success," says Cathy. "I work with my clients to keep them focused and on track to see the great rewards Personal Branding can bring. I like to think of myself as their partner in success." Since early 2002, Cathy has coached over 350 clients and accumulated more than 2500 hours of coaching.

Although born in Virginia, Cathy has lived in California for over 30 years. She attended California State University at Fullerton where she earned a bachelor's degree. She is a graduate of CoachU, one of the premier coach training programs in the world and a past member of the International Coach Federation, Professional Coaches and Mentors Association, the National Association of Women Business Owners, and Coachville. Before joining Peter Montoya, Cathy ran a successful corporate coach referral business called Corporate Coaches On Call.

Nick Ray is a business coach who specializes in helping financial service professionals work smarter and make more money. Nick has an outstanding ability to help financial service professionals translate their dreams into reality, by helping them connect their vision with plans to implement their business and marketing goals. A good listener, Nick uses his extensive business background (where he experienced both business pitfalls and opportunities) to help men and women totally committed to growing their practices.

Nick is a graduate of UCLA, and has received coaching certificates from Coach University and from B\Coach where he received his Business Coach and Masters Business Coach certificate. He is a CLU, RHU, ChFC and a life member of both MDRT and LPRT. His past industry service includes serving as President of his CLU and NACFA chapters. He is currently a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and Professional Coaches and Mentors Association (PCMA). He is licensed for securities and insurances.

Sue Rasmussen is internationally recognized for her straight-forward, practical, down-to-earth approach in working with clients to achieve profound changes in their lives and businesses. She has worked with well over 1500 professionals in 17 countries, supporting them in significantly growing their businesses, increasing their revenue, and simplifying their operations.

Sue's background includes marketing and program development for companies in France as well as for employees and consultants of major US companies including Motorola, Boeing, and American Express. After working in the corporate arena for 12 years, she shifted her focus to private practitioners.

Sue is a magna cum laude graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, where she received a double major in French and Business Administration with an international business emphasis. She completed her undergraduate business studies at the l'Institut de Gestion de Rennes in France.

Sue is a graduate of Coach Inc., which is considered one of the premier coach training programs in the world. As an active Coach Inc. faculty member, she leads courses in marketing and selling, practice management, and small business success and development. She has also achieved the highest coaching credentialing level of Master Certified Coach (MCC) from the International Coach Federation, and is a current member of the credentialing assessor team, which works to ensure and uphold the quality and integrity of coaching worldwide.

In addition, Sue is the author of "Finding Your Niche: The Complete Guide to Selecting a Satisfying and Profitable Niche". Her articles appear regularly in various publications, and she is a highly sought-after class leader and speaker.

Kimberly attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tennesee with a major in communications. She competed in speech and debate and she, (like Oprah), is a member of the National Forensic League (an honor society for public speakers.)

At Peter Montoya, Inc., Kimberly is the primary creative contact for our Clients, and helps to ensure that each client's unique vision and "brand" is represented in their marketing materials. Kimberly's sunny personality, obsessive attention to detail and passion for creative services makes her an indispensible member of our team.

In her spare time, Kimberly enjoys working with local youth organizations and teaches creative arts to children.

Few people are more in tune with the philosophies of branding than our talented writers. These dedicated, experienced professionals are responsible for creating the foundation of your branding campaign and materials: your creative brief. Creative briefs are the blueprints for brochures, websites, postcards, and all other materials. This team has been responsible for building hundreds of branding campaigns for entrepreneurs and independent professionals. It also handles internal advertising assignments, corporate work, public relations writing, direct mail copy, commercial scripts for radio and television, and all other writing assignments for Peter Montoya Inc.

Our Copy Writing Manager:

The Brand Called Eric Eberwein

Eric heads the Copy Writing department and checks every design and word before it goes to print. He has been working in the field of branding for more than a decade. As a journalist, Eric received awards for feature and entertainment writing by the Orange County Press Club. As a playwright, he has been produced in Chicago, New York, and Southern California, and directs the Orange County Playwrights Alliance.

Eric is the senior creative on staff. He is a pioneer in the practical application of branding. This journalism graduate of California State University, Long Beach has been praised for his ability to find a balance between sound branding principles and the wants and needs of the clients he serves. He is a deep thinker - a thoughtful and intelligent creative and one of Southern California's premier feature writers.

The Brand Called Darcy Lythgoe

As Chief of Staff, Darcy Lythgoe works hard to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the company. A real renaissance woman, she has worked in publishing and marketing for over a decade - as graphic designer and website developer, advertising executive, and publicity director. Born in New York, Darcy was educated at SUNY-Fredonia and Southern Utah University, majoring in communications and theater, with a minor in business.

She has lived all over the country, from upstate New York to Texas to the desert Southwest and Southern California. At Peter Montoya Inc., her creative nature, genuine warmth, attention to detail, and proactive attitude help to keep both Peter and the company on track.

Darcy is also an accomplished writer, actor and director. She spent four seasons performing at the Tony award-winning Utah Shakespearean Festival, and regularly appears in Southern California theatres. Her playwriting has earned critical acclaim and even a "Best New Play" award in 2005, while her acting and directing have been recognized with approbation and awards from the OC WEEKLY, the ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER and the LA TIMES.

The Sales & Marketing team is the lifeblood of business operations at Peter Montoya Inc. They handle company advertising, public relations, and most business transactions. Inside sales representatives generate seminar audiences and introduce entrepreneurs and independent professionals to branding.
The team also handles magazine promotions for branding, website management, direct mail, e-mail blasts, and speaker bureau relationships, while maintaining important business relationships with seminar sponsors and other corporate entities.
Vice President, Sales and Marketing :
The Brand Called Brian Clark

Prior to his position as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Brian held management positions with the Walt Disney Company and most recently with Starwood Hotels and Resorts. Brian brings 15 years of sales and marketing knowledge to his current position. His industry experience includes an eight year relationship with Peter Montoya, Inc, where he has worked in the areas of sales, consulting, product development and strategic business planning.

At Peter Montoya, Inc, Brian manages all aspects of our sales and marketing department and strategic business planning. He develops internal forecasting, budgets and business plans, and also coordinates public affairs and public relations efforts.

Brian served in the U.S. Army before going on to receive his bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership at Chapman University in Orange, CA. He is currently completing his MBA at Chapman University's Argyros School of Business and Economics. The proud father of two children, Angela and Cameron, he lives in Corona, California and enjoys traveling, surfing and snowboarding in his free time.

After graduating from Clemson University with a degree in Business, Jennifer went on to get her MBA from Thunderbird, The Garvin School of Management. Over the next 4 years she worked for AdvisorSquare, an internet company that focuses on web tools for financial advisors. She managed all business development activities with over 50 Broker Dealers and other affiliates. In 2001, Jennifer went to work for Millennium Advertising, which employs the finest designers, writers and coaches to craft the financial services industry's most innovative marketing. She helped Millennium meet every conceivable marketing challenge for an impressive collection of clients — hundreds of financial advisors representing every major firm in the industry.

Millennium Advertising is now Peter Montoya Inc, America's only Personal Branding agency. Peter Montoya Inc. helps independent professionals promote their brands with branding and marketing tactics to revolutionize their careers. Jennifer serves as Director of Sales and Marketing.

Jennifer resides in Ladera Ranch, CA, with her husband, Brad, and son, Braydn.

Whether she is discussing personal branding, specialization and strategic planning while promoting our Creating your Ideal Practice Weekends or supporting compliance officers and sharing marketing tactics with subscribers of MarketingLibrary.net, her years as an entrepreneur come into play.


After founding Forward Funding, LLC in 1996, she raised millions of dollars in debt and equity financing for entrepreneurs and enterprising businesspeople. She has held board positions with the Southern California Venture Network, the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and various other non-profit organizations. She was honored as Woman of the Month by Women in Technology International in 2002.

Another native Southern Californian, Lisa earned her BSM from Pepperdine University. She has had a wide range of life experience - in fields from aviation to nuclear power - and enjoys encouraging everyone she meets to take the steps necessary to reach their goals.

With over 14 years of experience in marketing and advertising, Susy Davis is a vital member of our MarketingLibrary.net team. As Relationship Manager, Susy works closely with our supporting Broker/Dealers’ marketing and compliance departments to coordinate integration, create accounts and promote this innovative technology to their Representatives. Susy’s sunny disposition and warm, friendly manner has made her a favorite among both our staff and our valued clients. In addition, her background in compliance-driven business environments makes her a real asset to our team, and a well-versed advocate for our subscribers.

Originally from Bakersfield, California, Susy escaped early on and relocated to Orange County to study at the University of California, Irvine. A trained and seasoned dancer, Susy has worked professionally as a both a dance teacher and choreographer. She co-founded Bare Bones Dance Theater and has been a choreographer in local theater for over 10 years.

As Communications & Training Specialist, Jeremy Gable keeps MarketingLibrary.net running as smoothly and efficiently as possible. He also helps clients with any questions they may have regarding the website. Born in England and raised in Idaho, Jeremy previously worked in the journalism and title/escrow fields before finding a home at Peter Montoya, Inc. His congenial nature and attention to detail make him an essential part of our team.

Jeremy is also an award-winning actor, writer and director. His plays have been seen throughout Orange County and Los Angeles.
